What to Donate
- Collectible Bordeaux – Bordeaux sells well at the Wine Auction without fail. We are looking for bottles from good to great vintages in good condition.
- Champagne from any of the great houses. Vintage wines, large format, small producer etc.
- Superstar Wine Producers and their top wines from all wine regions: Penfolds Grange, Vega Sicilia Unico, 1st growth Bordeaux, top-end Burgundy, Gaja or Sandrone Barolo, California, Oregon and Washington cult wines, etc.
- ,b>International “Wine Cellars” – We would like to create both silent and live auction packages using the concept of “start your collection with this French Wine Cellar, Italian Wine Cellar” etc. as a way for patrons to purchase a collection of wines that represent a wide variety of wine regions and styles.
- Rhône wines are very popular and have been getting more attention as collectable wines… Vieux Télégraphe, Beaucastel, Rayas, J.L. Chave, E. Guigal, Jasmin, Usseglio etc.
- Burgundy, both red and white, from top producers both do very well.
- Port, Maderia, Sauternes, or other fine dessert wines do well as packages, as these wines and their colorful histories are always appealing to bidders.
- Oregon Pinot Noir, Washington Wines - treasures from our own backyard from leading producers, especially the more limited, small production labels.
- California Cabernet Sauvignon - especially from “cult” producers.
- Trips to NW wineries with tours and lodging.
- Dinners with wine at Seattle area restaurants.
- Travel/Culinary Packages – This year we would like to put together some packages that emphasize the connection between wines and cuisines: think truffle hunting in Northern Italy, cooking classes in Tuscany, participating in crush at an Oregon or Washington winery, a trip to an olive oil producer in Italy, Spain, or California, or a tour and tasting at a fine chocolatier.
- Catering for dinners in private homes for parties of 6 – 10.
- Wine related accessories – table top, glassware, serving pieces, cellar racking, etc.
- Barware and dishware for entertainment.
- Wine related art work.
